In the summer of '99, Frank Posta, Alan Arsenault and I decided that we would rent some sea kayaks and paddle up the east side of Georgian Bay. All of us had done some sea kayaking before, but not to this scale. We really didn't know what to expect, and when we hit the open water in Georgian Bay on our first day out, and were greeted by 4 foot swells, well... it was fun for the first hour, but after four hours of paddling, the arms got a bit tired. That being said, I decided then and there that I needed a sea kayak!

At anyrate, we paddled north, camped on a small island our first night (we couldn't find a decent spot, and it was late, and we were tired), then went to Beausoleil Island for our second night, and camped in McGregore Lake on our third night. Then we pushed on and made it to Go Home Lake where we met up with my friend John Beatty at his cabin. All in all it was a great trip.

Beatty -- He owns a cabin on the lake.
