Back in 1998, my friend Frank Posta and I decided to see how far north we could go. So, we visited Woodland Caribou Provincial Park. There is no road access to this park, and we ended up portaging the canoe in, and paddling for a couple of hours before we made it to the park. Unfortunately, our map was a bit out-dated, and we got a bit lost:) Nothing serious, but we didn't get as far into the park as we would have liked to. Still, it was a great trip, even if a bit cold, and seeing the Northern Lights every night was really amazing. I definitely want to get back here.

Here's the view of the sunrise from our camp.  There are some pretty spectacular views in this park, not the least of which was the Northern Lights that showed up every night.  We didn't even try to get a picture of that with our little disposable camera, though. Frank and I did some fishing here.  We caught mostly northern pike, but we let them all go.  With the exception of this one.  See, while Frank had his knife in the poor thing's throat trying to remove the hook, it bit him.  Well, let that be a lesson to all you campers -- don't bite Frank or he'll eat ya.  It was a very tasty fish, though. Okay, so here's a nice picture of me getting up in the morning.  Do I look tired?  Grumpy?  Yeah, well, I'm not much good until after I have a cup of coffee in the morning.
